- Section 1: Introduction to the Course (15 mins)4 ItemsThis Course helps leaders to strengthen their ability to create clarity, prevent problems, and respond constructively when challenges arise. It helps leaders recognise the conversational patterns that build trust and those that erode it, and equips them with practical models to guide their approach. Through role clarity, feedback, conflict management, motivation, coaching, recognition, and career development, leaders learn how to create environments where people feel valued, understood, and accountable. Ultimately, the Course develops leaders who can hold conversations that lift performance and wellbeing, rather than sacrificing one for the other. This module includes 4 lessons.
- Section 2: NORTH - Alignment Conversations (15 mins)8 ItemsAlignment conversations sit at the North of the Conversations Compass because they create the shared understanding that makes every other dialogue easier. These conversations bring clarity to roles, expectations, and goals, and they prevent most performance issues long before they surface. When leaders take time to align, they invite respectful debate, surface assumptions, and ensure people are genuinely moving in the same direction. In this section, participants explore role clarity, goal clarity, and the ALIGN model — practical tools that help leaders set people up for success through conversations that are clear, constructive, and grounded in mutual respect. This section includes 6 lessons, a reflective task, and a final quiz.
- Section 3: EAST - Supportive Conversations (30 mins)14 ItemsSupportive conversations sit at the East of the Conversations Compass because they help leaders understand what’s really going on beneath performance, behaviour, and wellbeing. These dialogues uncover barriers, build capability, and strengthen trust by meeting people where they are. In this section, participants explore the skill/will matrix, practise giving and receiving feedback, learn how to motivate through SCARF, and differentiate between teaching, mentoring, and coaching. They also learn the CARES model — a warm, structured approach for wellbeing conversations that prioritises safety, validation, and support. Supportive conversations create momentum: they help people grow, reconnect, and re‑engage, ensuring leaders can adjust their style to suit the task and the human being in front of them. This section includes 12 lessons, a reflective task, and a final quiz.

- Section 4: SOUTH - Accountability Conversations (30 mins)12 ItemsAccountability conversations sit at the South of the Conversations Compass because they anchor a leader’s responsibility to address what isn’t working — clearly, respectfully, and without delay. These conversations create the conditions for trust by naming issues early, setting boundaries, and ensuring people understand the impact of their behaviour and performance. In this section, participants explore how to manage conflict (where respect trumps harmony), hold people accountable, address behaviour, and navigate underperformance with clarity and fairness. They also learn the CLEAR model — a structured, compassionate approach that helps leaders move from problem to progress while preserving dignity. Accountability conversations keep teams safe, honest, and focused, ensuring challenges become turning points rather than ongoing patterns. This section includes 10 lessons, a reflective task, and a final quiz.

- Section 5: WEST - Reflective Conversations (30 mins)12 ItemsReflective conversations sit at the West of the Conversations Compass because they help leaders pause, notice, and elevate what is working — in their people and in themselves. These dialogues deepen connection and commitment by recognising effort, acknowledging growth, and celebrating contribution. In this section, participants explore how to retain high performers through meaningful appreciation, hold career development conversations that unlock aspiration, and strengthen engagement through recognition that feels genuine rather than transactional. Leaders also turn the mirror toward themselves: seeking and receiving feedback, reflecting on their own milestones, meaning, and momentum, and using insight to refine how they show up. Reflective conversations create renewal — they reinforce value, build loyalty, and help leaders and teams grow with intention rather than habit. This section includes 9 lessons, a reflective task, and a final quiz.
